Flying can definitely put a damper on your look, especially if it's trans-atlantic. Here are a few things that I toted along with me to Paris that saved me from looking like a monster upon arrival:
1: Benefit's Erase Paste is a product I've raved about before and it certainly deserves it's spot in this post. It's a heavy-duty concealer that works wonders on jet-lag-induced under-eye circles.
2: Royce Leather Passport Case | Passport cases are such a small detail but one of the few that makes all the difference when putting up with the giant pain in the butt that is flying commercial. I love this ladylike (and inexpensive!) blush one by Royce Leather.
3: Dior AirFlash Foundation is so perfect for travel, especially now that we're reaching warmer temperatures. It's lightweight, goes on great without fuss, and gives a natural finish perfect for vacation looks.
4: Bobbi Brown Beach Body Oil is a fantastic product for every-day if you've never tried it, and perfectly suited for travel as well. It'll replace the moisture lost on recirculated air plane rides and leave a lovely sheen on bare legs and arms.
5: Rosebud Perfume Co. Lip Balm is an all-time favorite of mine, and whether it's the classic rose or this new mint variation, you can bet a container of it is with me at all times, especially during travel. It's, of course, great for lips, but also for cuticles, elbows, and any other dry areas.
6: Jimmy Choo Glitter Luggage Tag | I fell for this sparkly travel accessory when I first saw it on Currently Obsessed before the holidays and good ole' Santa, he must have known because it was in my stocking Christmas morning. It's far too beautiful for me to toss onto my checked baggage so I put it on my black carry-on Longchamp duffel and it the mere sight of it's sparkle put a smile on my face.
7: Jo Malone Amber and Lavender Lotion | For quite a while after I ran out of my favorite (discontinued) Honeysuckle and Jasmin Jo Malone lotion, I never thought I'd be able to find a suitable replacement but this one, that I recently received as a gift, is so wonderful and moisturizing. It was the perfect thing to keep on the bedside table in Paris and apply before bed.
8: Evian Facial Spray | I was first introduced to these spray bottles of Evian on a tropical vacation where the hotel staff would give you a good spritz by the pool, but I've since been using them for travel anywhere and everywhere. They're great to keep with you on the plane for a refreshing spray before reapplying your make-up or in your bag when you're out and about in an unfamiliar city and might need a cooling spray or two during a long afternoon.
9: Thomas Paul Pom Pom Scarf | A scarf is something I never board a plane without. They're so great for throwing around your neck when the temperature starts dropping after take-off, and this one by Thomas Paul is so versatile and subdued, you can wear it with almost anything.
What do you always take along with you when traveling?
I love the luggage tag and scarf! The Dior foundation sounds great, I may need to try. xx

That Jimmy Choo luggage tag is on my "when I win the lotto" Currently Obsessed board! :)
ReplyDeleteI always bring a scarf, fresh lipgloss, and a longchamp bag-whether it be folded up for later (shopping during the trip of course) or stuffed to the brim in transit :) I also ADORE the Bobbi Brown beach oil, I'm dying to sample the perfume.
